First Time at Chiya Table? What to Order on Your First Visit

Welcome! If it's your first time at Chiya Table, our menu board might look like a lot of choices. Here's a simple guide based on what you're in the mood for.
"I want the classic Nepali experience"
Order a Cutting Tea (Rs. 30). It's a half glass of hot milk tea, the way Kathmandu does it. If you love it, follow up with a Full Cutting (Rs. 35).
"I want something with spice"
Go for Masala Tea (Rs. 50), milk tea brewed with spices. Prefer it without milk? Try Black Masala Tea (Rs. 30).
"I want something special"
- Matka Tea (Rs. 50): served in a clay cup with an earthy aroma
- Tandoori Tea (Rs. 60): finished in a hot clay pot for a smoky flavour
- Special Fruits Tea (Rs. 100): our house special
"I'm a coffee person"
- Milk Coffee (Rs. 50) for something smooth
- Black Coffee (Rs. 40) for something strong
- Cold Coffee (Rs. 70) for a hot day
"It's hot outside"
- Banana Lassi (Rs. 120) or Plain Lassi (Rs. 100)
- Lemon Water (Rs. 35) or Sprite Lemon Soda (Rs. 100)
- Chilled soft drinks (Rs. 65)
"I don't want caffeine"
- Hot Lemon (Rs. 40) or Hot Lemon with Honey (Rs. 50)
- Lassi or Lemon Water
Tips for your first visit
- Grab a garden table if the weather is nice.
- Ask for less sugar ("chini kam") if you prefer.
- Come early: we open at 5:00 AM.
